Excuse me while I find a quiet room and stuff my face with peanutbutterychocolateygoodness.
If you love chocolate, peanut butter, and cookie dough, you NEED to make these.
I actually created these cookie dough bites as a clever way to get in MORE nutrition for my girls. Mila will eat anything, but Evie is as picky as they come. Even though I can get her to eat broccoli, she hardly ever eats meat or protein rich-foods (so much so that she’s struggled with anemia!)
I started using Daily Sunshine with my girls as a way to sneak in extra nutrition. This is a smoothie blend that was formulated with kids in mind (but everyone can use it!)- it has a serving of fruits and vegetables, plant-based protein, healthy fats, calcium and Vitamin D, no artificial sweeteners or preservatives, and all organic ingredients. My girls love it in smoothie form, but they love these even more.
BTW, if you’re interested in getting your hands on some of this product, I can get you hooked up with a sweet deal! Just comment below or click this link and I’ll send you some info and recipes Daily Sunshine Info.
Okay, now for the good stuff:
Cookie Dough Bites
3/4 c nut butter (I used PB, but almond butter or sunbutter would be good too!)
1/2 c honey
1 c oats
1tsp vanilla extract
1 scoop vanilla Shakeology or 1 packet Daily Sunshine
1/2 c chocolate chips (truth be told, I used a bit more :))
Mix the ingredients together and then roll into balls. Refrigerate and serve!
p.s. This is also a great way to sneak in extra nutrition- I’ve added in chia seeds, hemp seeds, and more!
I love these as a post long-run treat or as an afternoon snack in place of an energy bar! Let me know if you make them and what you think! 🙂
